Static voltage regulator (SVR) is a new-type voltage regulation equipment which uses semiconductor technology (e.g., thyristor SCR) to achieve efficient and fast voltage regulation. Static voltage stabilizers are suitable for high-load devices that require stable voltage, such as precision equipment, medical equipment, data centers, and industrial equipment.

Although static voltage stabilizers are mainly used in industrial and precision applications, they can also be considered in some household appliances (e.g., high-fidelity audio-visual units).
